Skeletons hidden in the Garden of Eden

I am contemplating
posting some excerpts from the texts I write now-a-days. I have previously posted older texts (both fictional, personal thoughts and poems) but, as stated, that was old. Posting something recent is WAY more embarrassing. This will be my “do something you’re scared of every day” thing of the day. Here goes…
There were nude bodies integrated everywhere in the greenery – invisible at first, but as soon as you were able to distinguish the pale thin limbs from the branches of the trees, the shadows of the bushes and the brook in the grass, they were everywhere, dead eyes looking up towards the nothingness of the sky and still seeing right into the grim centre of your secretive soul. The bodies were scattered like dead leaves a late autumn afternoon, some were covered in roses, most in various stages of decay, but all beautiful in their horror, like skeletons hidden in the Garden of Eden.
