I’LL NEVER LET THEM HURT YOU (I PROMISE)

a terrible tragedy happened. The attack on the Twin Towers – an unbelievable event, no matter if you believe it was an inside job or terrorism or whatever. This day led to many lost and ruined lives, both during the attack, and after, in the war on terrorism and the raised awareness of cultural and religious differences. However, it is my belief that there is always a silver lining (I rarely practice what I preach), and without 9/11 I would be without one of my favourite books and one of my favourite bands:

I started listening to MCR in early spring 2006, after realising the annoying repetitive song I couldn’t get out of my head actually was pretty catchy. Limewire helped me find more songs and I soon did my first Internet shopping when I ordered home this baby. After that, I was in love. MCR followed me through secondary school and introduced me to some of the best group of people on the school. They shaped me like no shit, and I am always surprised when I realised how many of my characteristics I have borrowed from these guys (how much of me is really me? I have no idea, I’m the biggest copy-kat). I’m scared to think of where or who I would be without them, but I doubt that I would be writing this now, reading the same literature, or listening to the same music, or even going to England in a week. I would probably have studied at BI, like the rest of my class, and ended up hating my life and how much I’ve wasted it. It’s because of them I know that it’s okay to be fucked up </sentimental rant>

Thank you guys, for 10 (or five-point-five, but whatever) years, and here’s to 10 more! iluuuuuuuuu <3

PS: I miss Bob!

PPS: Happy late birthday, Mikey!

Desert Song
I can see you awake anytime, in my head
This song will be played in my funeral. It is written in my will (!!!!)

Heaven Help Us
I’ve been sprawled on these cathedral steps while spitting out the blood and screaming “someone save us!”
Nostalgia, how I adore thee.

Vampires Will Never Hurt You
And if they get me and the sun goes down
And if they get me take this spike and
You put the spike in my heart
Classic music video.

If you want to check out an entire album, I personally prefer Bullets, but I think they all are good in their own way (slowly starting to get into Danger Days!, though I have yet to understand the Killjoys and the names and the whole backstory. “Wait, what?!”)

Until the birds return

Spring cleaning is such an amazing thing
to be finished with. Today I have cleaned up my room, moved around my tea and books a bit and taken some photographs to document how my room look in the spring of 2011. (Documentation is practically the sole reason for me blogging – I want to be able to laugh at myself three years from now.)

(The title was an obvious choice.)
